What We Do
Championing a more connected future.
Our Mission
The Coalition’s mission is to engage diverse stakeholders, increase public awareness, promote innovative research, and advocate for policy change that addresses the adverse consequences of social isolation and loneliness and advances approaches that improve social connectedness for all Americans.
Advocacy
The Coalition has released its 2023-2024 policy priorities and recommendations for the 118th Congress and the Biden Administration. Join us in advocating for our policy agenda, which aims to prevent social isolation and loneliness and enhance social connection for all Americans.
Collaboration
Committees & Work Groups
As a benefit of membership, we invite all Coalition members to join us in our working group and committee meetings. Currently, we offer a Policy Committee, Communications Committee, Older Adults Working Group, and Young Adults Working Group.
Awareness Initiatives
The Coalition has partnered with member organizations to help them launch and expand the reach of their social isolation, loneliness, and connection awareness campaigns. Examples include Humana’s Far from Alone campaign and Eventbrite’s Social Connection Project.
Learning Networks
The Coalition is proud to be a part of national and global learning networks, coordinating with organizations such as The Foundation for Social Connection and The Global Initiative on Loneliness and Connection to advance systems-based change for a more connected future.
Activation
Each June, alongside our partners at the Global Initiative on Loneliness and Connection (GILC) and Marmalade Trust, we activate local communities, policymakers, and innovators to share resources, identify areas of collaboration, and educate the public on the importance of belonging and resiliency. Together, we mobilize relationships across the globe to elevate awareness of the crisis worldwide.
