Izzy Boring
Izzy Boring, 20, attends and participates on the women’s basketball team at Corban University in Salem, Oregon. Boring, who advocates for mental health in her generation, is currently studying and majoring in Counseling Psychology in hopes of furthering her dream of helping others.
The trials and experiences she has experienced in her childhood through the incarceration of her father and recently through the loss of her boyfriend two years ago, generated and fueled her passion for people her age. As a result, Izzy Boring started using social media desiring to spread hope to others. Along her continuous journey of grief, she was able to partner alongside Only7Seconds, a nonprofit organization out of Chelan, Washington that is looking to fight loneliness, to share her heart and story. Her work on social media has inspired others and she hopes to continue this work.
