Prior to joining the Action Network team, Amanda Spott (she/her) worked at NASTAD (formerly the National Alliance of State and Territorial AIDS Directors) as a Legal Research Manager, where she conducted research and analysis to support NASTAD’s legal and policy portfolio. Her work at NASTAD included writing policy papers, issue briefs, and regulatory comments; analyzing emerging policy issues, trends, and upcoming legislation related to HIV criminalization, data sharing, and the 340B drug pricing program; and representing NASTAD at meetings and conferences with federal and state policymakers and industry stakeholders. Previously, Amanda worked as a Senior Researcher in the George Washington University’s School of Public Health, interned at several policy consulting and research firms, and volunteered at the National Eating Disorders Association.
Amanda received her dual JD/Master of Public Health with a concentration in Health Policy from George Washington University. She also graduated from Tulane University with a double major in Public Health and Psychology.
