Andrew MacPherson
Andrew MacPherson (he/him) is the founder and Board Chair of the Coalition to End Social Isolation and Loneliness and Co-founder of the Global Initiative on Loneliness and Connection, currently serving as the Vice Chair of the Foundation for Social Connection. Andrew has a 20 year career in healthcare policy development and coalition development in Washington, DC.
Andrew is the Founding Principal and Managing Partner at Healthsperien, LLC, co-leading a team of over thirty mission-based policy experts focused on the transformation of systems of care for the most vulnerable among us. These professionals specialize in developing comprehensive legislative and regulatory policy strategies, in-depth analyses, and limited strategic advocacy and communications initiatives for a wide range of health care organizations, national health plans, professional associations, issue-based coalitions, health care start-ups, and not-for-profit providers.
Andrew has a special emphasis and regularly speaks to national audiences on critical health and well-being issues facing our nation, including the crisis of social isolation and loneliness in the U.S. Andrew has been featured in a variety of national media outlets on a range of health policy issues, including The Washington Post, Health Affairs, InsideHealthPolicy, Home Health Care News, and National Public Radio.
Originally from Vermont, Andrew received a B.A. in Political Science from George Washington University in May 2005.
